    PUJA organises technology integration webinars

PUJA Academy Sdn Bhd (PASB), in collaboration with Technological Association Malaysia (TAM) and Plytec Engineering Sdn Bhd organised a series of webinars themed ‘Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) Solution’ recently.

Invited speakers Building Information Modelling (BIM) Application Support Manager Gabriel Chiew and BIM Coordinator Nur Ain binti Parizan spoke in two sessions on April 14.

Gabriel Chiew presented the topic ‘Concept of BIM as Operation Technology (OT) & Information Management System (IMS) for Built Environment’.

The talk centred around the fundamental concepts of BIM, presented from the perspective of work content and process digitalisation. It included an early-phase BIM implementation in a real development project to illustrate real time collaboration based on common data environment (CDE) and BIM execution plan (BEP) to ISO standards.

Nur Ain showcased the project implementation of an actual construction project based on BIM coordination control, beyond 3D visualisation with information rich modelling, building information management with BIM which emphasises communication and work process procedures.

The second part of the series was held on April 25 via Zoom. The seminar was delivered by Louis Tay of TAM.

Tay presented papers on ‘Built Asset Management with Essential Technology and Digital Documentation’ and ‘Digital Transformation of Building and Construction Technology’, both provided the strategies and roadmap for BIM adoption.

The presentations aimed to provide participants an insight into the BIM technology and how it could save time and improve productivity, in line with the Industrialisation in the Digital Masterplan 2025 to “drive adoption of technology through training on key technology solutions”.

Thirty participants consisting of Institution of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) members, public sector workers and the public attended the webinars.
