PUJA Brunei shares membership benefits

The Institution of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) Brunei participated in the Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Company Sdn Bhd Engineering Open Day at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) yesterday.

The event showcased PUJA Brunei and its membership benefits to BSP engineering staff and the oil and gas industry, a press release stated.

It also showcased the departments under the Decommissioning and Restoration (D&R) and the Asset Engineering Section of BSP as well as its innovations and technologies.

D&R Manager Haji Idris bin Haji Mohd Jaafar said the event’s objective was to promote the professions of surveyors, engineers and architects in the Sultanate, to learn best practices and foster networking among the construction and oil and gas industry professionals.

PUJA Brunei President Sr Haji Mohammad Hanafi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Abdul Rahman was the guest of honour.

Vice President and Chair of the Engineers Division Ir Chin Lee Tuck introduced PUJA Brunei to attendees and shared the benefits and privileges in becoming a member.

The non-governmental organisation has had members exclusively from the construction industry for the past 34 years and is welcoming professionals from other industries to become its members.

Over 70 participants from PUJA Brunei members, Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) Companies staff and oil and gas industry companies were in attendance.

BSP also hosted a working visit to an ongoing major engineering project at the Marine Construction Yard.
