Public urged to help alleviate blood supply shortage

The Blood Donation Centre at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital’s Laboratory Services Department is short of supply of all blood types, the Ministry of Health said.

Public help is sought to donate blood. Donors can visit the Blood Donation Centre from 8am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm on weekdays.

The Blood Donation Centre will also hold a blood donation campaign.

Today’s blood donation drive, from 10am to 3pm, will be at Tokyo Hall on the second floor of the Airport Mall, while tomorrow, the campaign will move to the atrium at OneCity Shopping Centre, Kampong Sungai Hanching from 10am to 3pm, which will be organised by the Co-Curriculum Education Department at the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday from 9am to 11am, the blood donation will be at the Public Works Department (JKR) headquarters in a drive organised by JKR, while on Thursday the campaign will be at the Community Hall in Pekan Tutong from 9am to noon in conjunction with the National Youth Day celebration, and organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Booking a blood donation slot through the BloodKad app for the blood donation campaign is encouraged.
