Brunei Innovation Lab (BIL) and Network Integrity Assurance Technologies Sdn Bhd (NiAT) initiated a partnership to bring together the best of the two organisations and leverage their resources to provide enhanced services and experiences to their communities. The partnership will include joint projects and events to bring people together, promote growth and innovation, and supporting the communities.
NiAT will be included within the BIL framework, ranging from introductory awareness on tech focus areas such as data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) leading into OBSERVE, a platform that enables user to integrate various datasets such as satellite remote sensing data and technologies for location based intelligence.
BIL Chairperson Haji Mohammad Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh said, “Encouraging the use of platform offered by NiAT that facilitate innovation can help accelerate growth and investing in talent development is crucial to ensuring that the workforce has the necessary skills to adapt to changing technologies and market demands.”
Both parties look to upscale the deep-tech domains with the OBSERVE platform for the whole industry, NiAT will be showcasing solutions at BIL, enabling access to a variety of industry players and BIL ecosystem network and providing access for Bruneian startups.
Both parties also talked about using BIL as a neutral sandbox platform where project stakeholders can enter into with projects of their interests and established agreed scopes either in a variation of a prototyping platform/venue to test out OBSERVE and how it could provide innovation across new or existing services.
BIL General Manager Freddie Ting said, “This partnership aligns with our mission to provide the highest level of service to our communities along with the exposure and possibilities of various deep technologies utilised at NiAT.
“This collaboration will help us to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and continue to provide value to the innovation ecosystem.”
