The Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) will be hosting the 21st Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival 2023, scheduled to take place in December next year.
PEMODA President Pengiran Haji Redzuan bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad said the association will be hosting the event for the fifth time.
The past four events had been a success with a recorded participation of between 500 and 700 bikers from all over Borneo Island.
However participation next year will be scaled down to between 350 and 500.
The highlight will be strengthening ties among the bikers, promoting the tourism sector and supporting the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the country.
“We will also be showcasing the Bruneian identity to the participants from abroad. Sharing with them our traditions and culture as well as our ideology as a Malay Islamic Monarchy country using this unique and different approach, through a motorcycle event.”
PEMODA will also be engaged in several other activities in collaboration with relevant agencies, and become more active in promoting road safety awareness through joint efforts with National Road Safety Council (MKKJR).
