A project promoting a saving culture among children of the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) saw a prize presentation at KACA’s Centre in Kiulap yesterday.
The five-year Projek Menabung Kaca is aimed at teaching the children independence and prudence.
The ceremony yesterday saw children with the highest amount of savings for the year 2022 receive certificates and prizes.
Winners of an essay writing competition for government and private primary schools, in conjunction with KACA’s 37th anniversary, also received prizes.
KACA President Dato Paduka Haji Zainal bin Haji Momin presented the prizes to eight students from three schools. The essay topics, provided by the centre, focused on assisting students with special needs at their respective schools. – Rokiah Mahmud
