Promoting healthy lifestyle

Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College conducted a prize giving ceremony for the winners of ‘MD Change Me Challenge’ at the college’s Student Learning Service Centre (SLSC) recently.

The school’s Principal Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad was present along with the senior management team, counselor, tutors and students.

The “MD Change Me Challenge” is a weight loss programme initiated by a tutor in the English Department of the college, Muhammad Fadilah bin Haji Madali.

One of the objectives of the challenge was to promote healthy living. This complies with the Ministry of Health’s vision, ‘Together towards a healthy nation’.

The competition was open to all tutors and students in the college and began from May 23 until August 19.

The participants attended a series of four training sessions held in the college. There was also a series of elimination of contestants scheduled weekly from May 29 to July 31.

The top three finalists of ‘MD Change Me Challenge’ were decided on August 19.

In the tutor’s category, the first place was won by Yeo Su Hui. The second and third place went to Hajah Siti Afsah binti Haji Matassan and Dr Haji Sahrunizam bin Haji Kasah.

While in the student’s category, the first place was secured by Fatin Noor Hasibah binti Noor Aflan. The second was Mahfuzah Wadi’ah binti Mahwadi and in the third place was attained by Amyra Syahirah binti Haji Awang Ahmad. – Azlan Othman
