Goodwill Krew, comprising seven middle management officers in the public sector, are currently undertaking the 33rd Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers (EDPMMO) conducted by the Civil Service Institute (IPA) at the Prime Minister’s Office.
A curtain raiser for the project, Pantri Kitani, was held yesterday, officiated by Assistant Director of IPA Hajah Roslizawati binti Haji Ibrahim and Head of Government Relations and Special Projects at Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Haji Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Wahsalfelah at BIBD Connects Lambak.
Noorhazwani Ariffin, senior research officer at Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, in her capacity as team leader of the Goodwill Krew, noted in her welcoming remarks that Pantri Kitani is a pantry-based community platform that aims to provide food aid to the needy. The project is seen as timely due to the surging cost of living, she added.
“On the surface, this project is implemented on the basis of helping each other and ease the burden of the underprivileged. In reality, however, it also help us Muslims to be aware of the priority of good deeds in helping us in the hereafter,” she said.
