Progresif Sdn Bhd and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) announced yesterday the discontinuation of the Progresif Pay app on December 1, according to a statement from Progresif Sdn Bhd. The mobile wallet app was introduced in 2018.
On December 1, users will no longer have access to the current Progresif Pay app.
The company advised users to withdraw funds from their accounts before then, after which their accounts will be closed. For outstanding balances, Progresif said they will place a high priority on ensuring the smooth and secure return of all funds.
BIBD account holders with outstanding balances will have funds transferred back to their main BIBD accounts. For non-BIBD account holders, Progresif will reach out to verify their information.
“This verification step is crucial to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for Progresif Pay app customers,” said the statement. Customers may also call 177 for inquires.
Progresif Chief Executive Officer Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Jaafar said, “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible mobile payment experience.
