Programme guides Year 11 students on education, career pathways

Over 100 Year 11 students from Sayyidina Husain Secondary School recently participated in a Post-‘O’ Level Pathways Programme aimed at providing early guidance and exposure to further education and career opportunities following their GCE ‘O’ Level examinations this year.

The one-day programme brought together 16 agencies comprising higher learning institutions, vocational and technical training centres, and representatives from both government and private sectors.

Throughout the day, students took part in multiple activities including agency briefings, educational and career exhibitions, Q&A sessions, and one-on-one career counselling. The event served as a platform for students to interact directly with representatives, ask questions, and gather relevant information on entry requirements, programme offerings, and future employment prospects.

One of the participating year 11 students expressed appreciation for the opportunity, stating, “This programme really opened my eyes to the many different pathways available. I now feel more confident about my next steps after ‘O’ Levels.”

The event concluded with the presentation of tokens of appreciation to all participating agencies in recognition of their contribution to the success of the programme.
