The Secretariat of the Legislative Council (LegCo) yesterday held a programme bringing together public relations officers and representatives from ministries, departments and the media for an interactive session. The aim was to strengthen understanding of the upcoming 21st Legislative Council (LegCo) meeting.
The programme also recognised the vital role played by ministries and the media as key partners in delivering news and information about the LegCo to the public.
The event began with a welcome address by Acting Deputy Clerk to the LegCo Pengiran Hajah Zaidah binti Pengiran Haji Petra. She emphasised the close relationship between the LegCo, ministries and the media, highlighting their crucial role in ensuring coverage of the session for the community and disseminating up-to-date information on the LegCo.
One of the activities was a briefing on the 21st LegCo meeting, providing an overview of the work procedures and processes. The participants also had the opportunity to interact in a dialogue session and then join a special visit and tour to learn about the history, role, and functions of the LegCo. – James Kon
