Programme boosts girl guides’ communication, thinking skills

Forty-one members of the Pandu Puteri Tunas comprising students from government and private primary schools participated in the ‘Sehari Bersama Pandu Puteri Tunas’ programme at the Youth Centre in the capital.

The programme was organised by the Uniformed and Services Division of the Co-Curriculum Education Department at the Ministry of Education and the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD).

PPPBD Chief Commissioner Norazrina binti Haji Sarbini presented prizes and certificates to the participants.

The programme is an informal education to expose participants to the science of scouting, in line with the young girl guides programme carried out in groups.

The programme’s objective is to build an understanding on the role and responsibilities of being a Pandu Puteri Tunas as well as giving participants the opportunity to improve their communication and thinking skills through activities.

It also aims to improve collaboration skills and foster ties among the participants. – Rokiah Mahmud
