Principal hails achievements, commitment and cooperation

“Congratulations to the students for their achievements, to the teachers for the commitment and parents for their cooperation during the challenging months when learning had to be conducted online,” said Sayyidina Othman Secondary School Tutong Principal Roziena binti Haji Zini, during the graduation ceremony for the 2021 batch of 44 Year 8 students and 40 Year 11 students as well as four students from the multi-level.

The Best Student Award 2021 was received by Nurul Farhana Syahirah binti Mohamad Isra Aswandy, who attributed her success to the efforts made by teachers, the encouragement and guidance from her parents, “and no last-minute revision”.

Fifty teachers, who taught the Year 8 and Year 11 students, were also awarded.

Meanwhile, the Best CCA Award 2021 went to Nurul Azizah Asyura binti Mohd Azizan, who was not only an army cadet, but also competed in netball, shot put, Nasyid, menambang syair and choir.

The school also celebrated the highest number of students achieving five credits and above in the 2021 ‘O’ Level and IGCSE Level examinations.

Former Acting Director of Examinations Hajah Suriani binti Haji Noor Hashim, the guest of honour, presented the awards.

The school’s Parent Teacher Association (PIBG) members were also in attendance.

The event was enlivened with a recitation of poems, song performance, acapella show, and a sketch.
