    Preparing students for examinations

    Schools across the country recently held religious ceremonies and talks to boost students’ morale and seek blessings from Allah the Almighty for their upcoming examinations.

    Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School organised a Sunnat Hajat prayer, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and a motivational talk for its Year 6 students at the school’s hall on Thursday.

    The event was attended by 153 students, parents and teachers.

    Headmistress of YSHHB Primary School Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi was also present.

    The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Selawat Tafrijiyyah led by a Primary School Assessment (PSR) candidate Muhammad Syaamil bin Haji Kamarul Azam followed by Doa and Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Muhammad Nabil bin Haji Maidin, while a Surah Yaasiin recitation was led by Pengiran Haji Mohd Yusran bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Yusof.

    It proceeded with a motivational talk by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Counsellor Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghafor to encourage students to prepare well for the examination.

    Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School also held a Sunnat Hajat prayer for its Year 8 and Year 11 students at its main hall on Thursday.

    The event began with a Doha prayer followed by a Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Darwisy Ariffin bin Haji Timbang.

    The event proceeded with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin by Asbilee bin Haji Mohd Ali.

    Stella’s School held a similar event for its Year 6 students at Kampong Pulaie Mosque on Thursday, joined by parents and guardians.
