The Islamic Da’wah Centre, through it’s Dakwah Development Division, Muallaf Development Division, and Planning, Research and Publication Division, paid a number of goodwill visits to Belait rural areas on Wednesday.
The annual initiative aimed to aid new Muslim converts in rural areas in the proper practice of fasting ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan.
The visit also served to spread Dakwah and promote a better understanding of the Islamic faith to both new converts and non-Muslims.
The delegation comprising ministry officials and staff, were led by Dakwah Development Division Acting Head Pengiran Haji Jufri bin Pengiran Haji Hidop, accompanied by Belait District Dakwah Unit Head Zikrinaidah binti Haji Mat Dikir.
The visit’s first stop was Teraja Longhouse, followed by a visit to the Mendaram Longhouse where the group set up the Tarbiyah Amalan poster detailing information on the holy month of Ramadhan.
The group also set up a book corner to instil a culture of reading among the residents.
Other objectives of the visits included ensuring proper preparations for Ramadhan and fostering closer ties with rural folks.
