Several matters related to preparations and planning of the 14th Borneo Islamic International Conference (KAIB) were discussed at the Malaysian Hall, Jakarta in Indonesia recently.
Dean of Faculty Islamic Development Management Muhammed Sahrin bin Haji Masri on behalf of Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) was present.
Rector of UiTM Sarawak Professor Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali and Rektor Universitas Mulawarman (UNMUL) Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur Dr Ir H Abdunnur, M Si chaired the meeting.
The meeting aimed to ensure KAIB’s objective is met in terms of the collection of knowledge materials related to the development of Islam, socio-culture, economy and politics, provide a discussion platform on role and contribution of Islamic Institutions and also issues related to manuscript.
The conference is hoped to impact Islamic development and to be a continuous platform for knowledge talks, establishing networking among provinces in Kalimantan, Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei Darussalam as well as bring progress to the country, particularly in internalisation of UNISSA.
