A full dress rehearsal to ensure the smooth sailing of the Brunei-Muara District get-together ceremony for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the monarch’s 77th birthday celebration was held at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital yesterday.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty’s 77th birthday celebration oversaw the rehearsal.
Themed ‘Raja Untuk Rakyat dan Rakyat Untuk Raja’, the get-together ceremony will see over 400 performers comprising students from government and private primary and secondary schools, and representatives from government and private agencies. – Rokiah Mahmud
