Tutong District Scouts Association (PPDT) emerged as the male champion of the Religious Night quiz competition on Wednesday followed with Temburong District Scouts Association and Brunei-Muara District Scouts Association (PPDBM) in second and third places.
In the female category, Korea Jamboree representative team claimed first place while PPDBM took the second spot and Pre-Jamboree 2023 representative came in third.
The competition took place at the multipurpose hall of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Federation (PPNBD) headquarters in Kampong Beribi, Gadong.
PPNBD President Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abas presented prizes to quiz winners as well as the Khat competition.
PPNBD Chief Commissioner Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali and Brunei Muara District Scouts Commissioner Samsuddin bin Haji Ahmad, headquarters commissioners, district scouts commissioners as well as scouts leaders and members were also in attendance.
The competitions were organised by the Religious Sec tion of PPNBD in collaboration with PPDBM and in conjunction with the 90 years of scouting in Brunei Darussalam carnival (K90).
The competition aims to instil healthy competitive spirit among the scouts’ members and give them the exposure on the diverse information on religious affairs. – Lyna Mohamad
