The Department of Electrical Services (DES), Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), in a statement said that they are gradually working to restore electricity for the areas impacted by the power disruption since Tuesday morning.
Earlier today, the Bulletin reported that large sections of the Sultanate experienced a significant power outage since 11:30am, leading to disruptions in the daily lives of residents.
The department said the power disruption affected several areas within the Tutong, Belait, and Brunei-Muara Districts.
The department in the statement however did not address the cause of the incident as it was still under investigation, but also assured that the situation is under control, and the public is advised not to panic.
