A handover of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 62nd anniversary poster was held at Wira Seni Concert Hall of the RBAF Band building, Bolkiah Garrison yesterday ahead of the celebrations on May 31.
RBAF 62nd anniversary celebration Chairman Colonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin presented over 300 posters published by the Public Relations Unit (PRU), Ministry of Defence to representatives from other ministries, RBAF units, and the Ex-Soldiers Association of Brunei Darussalam.
“The RBAF’s 62nd anniversary’s theme ‘Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara’ or ‘Together in Accomplishing the National Vision’ is in line with the Brunei Darussalam’s National Day celebration. It is also in line with RBAF’s duties and responsibilities as a relevant and respected institution that ensures peace and security,” Colonel (U) Hishamuddin said in his opening remarks.
“RBAF will continue to give full attention on the whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approaches in realising Brunei Vision 2035, in together contributing and ensuring stability, peace and well-being of the country will always be maintained,” he added.
In realising the aspiration, he said RBAF will continue to develop the capacity and capability of its personnel through professional skills training.
Colonel (U) Hishamuddin added, “Stability and security are vital to national welfare development. They are given the highest priority and there is no room for compromise, as every party plays a crucial role in preserving the security of Brunei Darussalam.”
A grand parade to mark RBAF’s anniversary will be held at the Rimba Air Force Base on May 31.
