As a person who opts out of having a washing machine at home, going to a launderette is a weekly routine. But I’m quite dismayed by the fact that one particular chain that I’ve been frequenting is making less and less effort on customer satisfaction.
There is a severe lack of proper maintenance, leading to its machines being constantly out of order. Even those that are working, they are always out of detergent and fabric softener.
It seems ridiculous to expect its customers to bring their own detergent when they have paid for the service that comes with the soap. Then there are the few instances where I would open the washing machine door only to be greeted by a stench.
Some of the branches are in places with a lot of stray dogs. These animals would often take shelter at the premises, calling into question their stance on hygiene.
Perhaps it is high time that authorities visit these premises, to ensure that they are up to code.
