Last year, a particular waste disposal company was contracted to collect waste from RPN Kampong Lugu Cluster Housing in Mukim Sengkurong.
The agreement was to collect rubbish from the area three times a week, while providing the residents with trash bags.
However, the company hasn’t held up their end of the bargain.
On top of providing us with low-quality bin bags, they are also notorious for collecting our trash late. As a result, we often find monkeys rummaging through our garbage bins, picking apart the rubbish and littering the neighbourhood.
We have been paying every month without fail, despite receiving lower than sub-par service from the company. We have even filed a complaint with the authorities but to no avail.
We are running out of ideas on what we can do to improve the situation. Thus, we call on the authorities to look into the matter soon.
