Similar to the ‘strawberry make-up’ look, this trend swaps out strawberries for pomegranates, embracing shades that range from vibrant to soft, pale reds.
The hallmark of this style is a rosy-mauve blush that complements matching lip colour, enhanced with faux freckles and perfectly groomed brows.
A few years back, a similar trend focused on the eyes, using iridescent pomegranate hues for a radiant finish paired with coordinated lips. Now, the pomegranate make-up trend brings a fresh, playful twist.
Today, it’s evolving to suit today’s beauty trends, with an emphasis on blush.
A subtle cross between ‘sunkissed make-up’ and ‘strawberry make-up’, this beauty look enhances the complexion with the natural look of flushed cheeks and a shimmering smooth, dewy texture, reminiscent of the fruit.
Replicating this trend is simple and involves three steps.
First, a bright red blush is applied to the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the eyelids and above the eyebrows, before being blended in.
Next, fake freckles are applied to the nose and cheekbones with a felt-tip make-up pen.
For the lips, a light outline with a pink pencil is followed by a light application of the blush used previously. Finally, add a touch of gloss to make them shine.
