Four drug-related offences were recorded after authorities conducted an operation around Kampong Belais in the Temburong District yesterday.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said the joint-operation uncovered four offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act and one religious violation.

The operation involved RBPF personnel from the Temburong Police District, the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Religious Enforcement Division. The joint operation was led by Criminial Investigation Officer of the Temburong Police District ASP Muhd Ajib bin Haji Ahmad Awal.

The drug-related offences were handed over to the NCB for further investigation while the religious violation case was handed over to the Religious Enforcement Division in the Temburong District.

Meanwhile, packages of undeclared medicines, cigarettes and vape equipment were discovered during a joint operation between RBPF personnel in Brunei-Muara District, the Anti-Vice and the Gambling Suppression Unit under the Criminal Investigation Department and the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) on Saturday.

The operation, led by ASP Muhammad Alif bin Haji Musa, targetted a house in Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan.

The raid found no persons in the house, but uncovered contraband which was turned over to the RCED.
