KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA) – Police will investigate the involvement of several Members of Parliament, state assemblymen and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the People’s Solidarity Secretariat’s (SSR) rally in Bangsar on Saturday.
Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Amihizam bin Abdul Shukor said the investigations would be conducted under the Public Assembly Act 2012 and the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
Amihizam, in a statement, said about 50 people wearing black shirt started gathering at the Bangsar LRT from 10.45 am.
He said 21 police officers and 205 men from various units including the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), Kuala Lumpur police contingent headquarters, Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) and Air Operation Force Drone Unit (PGU) were involved in monitoring the rally.
