Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali was conferred the Distinguished Service Order by Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam at the Singapore Istana on October 15.
According to the RBPF, the conferment served as an appreciation of the commissioner’s leadership in strengthening bilateral relationship and close cooperation between the RBPF and the Singapore Police Force in capability and capacity building, including training exchanges between both police forces.
“The Singapore Police Force and RBPF enjoy a longstanding partnership built on mutual trust and unwavering commitment to fighting crime. We will continue to strengthen this partnership and leverage our combined expertise to better safeguard our nations,” said Singaporean Commissioner of Police Hoong Wee Teck.
During his stay in Singapore, the RBPF commissioner made courtesy calls on Singapore Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong and the Singaporean commissioner. – James Kon
