The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and departments under it hosted a donation presentation ceremony yesterday in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Nuzul Al-Quran celebration.
The ceremony, at the Banquet Hall of the PMO, began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ash Shaliheen Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran.
It proceeded with the recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah, Verses 183 to 185 by Muhamad Darwisy Hakimi bin Mardeny/Yakub, a former student of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Tahfiz Al-Quran.
The ceremony continued with a talk ‘Engaging with Al-Quran’ by Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan’s Centre for Research and Studies of Jawi and Kitab Turath Assistant lecturer Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak followed by the recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah. Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the guests of honour, presented donations to 40 members of the PMO and departments under it. – James Kon
