I would like to call on some parents to be more considerate during school runs instead of leaving their cars parked in the area that is meant for pick-ups only.
The school where my child goes seems to be losing the battle against congestion caused by these selfish parents. There are signs put up to differentiate between parking and pick-up areas. However, it has done very little to encourage them to follow the rules.
Some may defend such behaviour by saying that parents are merely doing their best to minimise the stress of picking up children from school. But I am a parent too, and I have to pick my children up from school too. All it takes is one selfish parent for the rest of us to be stuck in hours-long traffic jam.
