PIP a step closer to title with BFA win

Projek Ikan Pusu (PIP) are heading closer to lift the Under-12 NOSSA BFA 2024 Football League title after defeating Brazilian Football Academy Brunei (BFA) 3-1 at the Peak Club football field yesterday.

PIP are unbeaten with 10 wins and two draws, and are the league leaders with 32 points. BFA are second with 28 points, followed by Dash Football Academy with 23.

According to PIP coach Norkhairunnisa binti Mohammad, PIP will next face Dash and Panchor Murai.

“These matches are also tough. PIP will not underestimate any team. We will prepare for each match carefully,” the coach said when asked on their chances.

PIP head coach Haji Omar bin Haji Jamil expressed satisfaction with the team’s management by Norkhairunnisa.

“She has done very well as a coach. Projek Ikan Pusu needs a motherly figure. She is an excellent coach and a good leader,” he said.

“The players listen to her instructions and that is the most important thing,” he said. Meanwhile, PIP team manager Rosnani binti Wahid echoed the same sentiment and is “very proud of the achievements and performance of all the players and coaches”.

“On behalf of PIP, I would like to thank the Youth and Sports Department and Markaz Al-Wurrah Aye@Lubuk Sigurun for allowing us to use their facilities during training,” she said, extending her appreciation to parents, committee members and supporters.
