The Piala Keputeraan Futsal Championship 2022 will continue into the second weekend with Group A, B, C and D matches for the rights to earn a place in the second round of the competition.
The top two teams from each group will join already-qualified Sporty Guy, DDT FA, Boneka FT, Street United ‘A’, Almerez ‘A’ and Arbisyam ‘B’ in the next round.
Two best third-placed finishers which will only be determined once the group stages conclude will complete the last-16 draw.
QFT, SU ‘B’, Perwira ‘B’ and Kasuka & Ar Rawda line up Group ‘A’ while Group ‘B’ comprise Perwira ‘C’, Syahkampong M, GG FT and Brunei 88 ‘A’.
Group ‘C’ will witness matches involving the quartet of Almerez ‘B’, One Solution, Perwira ‘A’ and Brunei 88 ‘B’ while Arbisyam ‘A’, DD FT ‘B’, BAN LS and SU ‘A’ complete Group ‘D’.
The competition’s opening weekend saw six teams from Group E, F and G book their slots in the next round.
In this year’s edition, a total of 28 teams divided into seven groups took part which is held at the Indoor Hall of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Sports Complex.
The tournament, held in conjunction with the 76th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, is organised by the Keputeraan Futsal Committee 2022 with the support of the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD).
