Haji Mohamad Haranadi bin Haji Buntar’s photo titled Kayuhan Kemerdekaan won the heart of judges to become the winner of a special category of a photography competition organised by the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP).
Muhammad Sharifuddin @ Buntar bin Haji Md Supri and Abdul Hadi bin Abdul Rahim were first and second runners-up.
Muhammad Saifulizam bin Abang Zamhor won category ‘A’ with his entry, Lautan Persembahan, while Pengiran Haji Sulaiman bin Pengiran Md Salleh and Nurmadihahtul Syamimi binti Haji Ali were in second and third places.
Lenna Norsusilanita binti Bahari won category ‘B’ with Aku Patriot Negara while Abdul Hamid bin Haji Abdul Rahman and Haji Kahan bin Haji Nasir were first and second runners-up.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin presented prizes in the competition organised to mark Brunei’s independence.
DBP Acting Director Hajah Haireni binti Haji Damit said the competition, the fourth since 2021, saw an increase in entries with 67 participants and 100 photos. – Lyna Mohamad
