Philippine Embassy commemorates three important events

The Philippine Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan marked a significant day on Monday, with a celebration encompassing National Heroes Day, ASEAN Month, and National Language Month. The opening ceremony of the Filipino Language and Cultural Enrichment Program (FLCEP) 2024 highlighted the event.

The morning commenced with a flag-raising ceremony, where the national anthem “Lupang Hinirang” resonated, followed by the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, the ASEAN Hymn, and the DFA Quality Policy recitation. This was followed by the “Bagong Pilipinas” hymn and pledge. A wreath-laying ceremony was held to honour the nation’s heroes.

The celebration not only honoured the legacy of Filipino heroes but also reinforced the Philippines’ commitment to its identity within the ASEAN community.
