A pharmacy located on Jalan Pretty, Kuala Belait was fined BND1,000 by the Enforcement Division of the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board for littering at the back of its premises on Saturday.
The fine was issued under Chapter 30 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act and the pharmacy was given seven days to settle it, where failure to do so will result in a court case.
If found guilty, the accused will be handed a BND2,000 to BND10,000 fine or one-month imprisonment while subsequent offences will result in a BND10,000 to BND30,000 fine or imprisonment not exceeding 12 months.
