The national petanque team did the country proud after securing third place in the women’s doubles event of the 3rd Thailand Open Master Games at the Chonburi Province recently.
The nation collected the bronze medal through the pairing of Hajah Norhaini binti Haji Dollah and Norhani binti Haji Juna.
Meanwhile, the men’s duo of Hamidun bin Haji Abdul Hamid and Masli bin Haji Mohd Said advanced to the last-16 stage in the men’s doubles event.
Masli, whose last achievement in the hosting country saw him win bronze in the 4th Asian Petanque Championship last November, also gained a top-nine finish in the shooting event.
Team Manager Siti Norhafilah binti Haji Arun accompanied the four-member team.
