MS ABDB Perwira bagged their first win of the Brunei Futsal League (BFL) 2023 season after a 2-0 victory over Shah United at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Sports Complex in Jalan Tungku Link on Tuesday.
The army personnel pulled ahead through Mohamad Rosaiman bin Haji Rosaidi in the 15th minute before Awangku Khairul Bahri bin Pengiran Adruman doubled his side’s lead three minutes before time.
In the later kick-off, GG-Indera SC stunned Arbisyam with a 2-0 win following strikes from Mohd Azri bin Dumin and Mohd Hazlantul Khairul Zaman bin Haji Osman.
The competition, which kicked off last Friday, will continue with Almerez FC taking on Qahar FT in the early kick-off tomorrow.
The second match of the day will see DDT FT taking on BIBD SRC at the same venue.
Earlier in the competition, Kasuka & Ar Rawda picked up all three points during an eight-goal thriller in a 5-3 win over PES.
The previous edition of the competition in 2021 was discontinued after the country was hit with the second wave of COVID-19 infections.
