The get-together ceremony at the Brunei-Muara District featured heartfelt performances from local artistes, celebrating the 78th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The event highlighted the diverse talents and deep appreciation of the performers for the nation’s leadership.
Neff Aslee, participating for the second time, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and the trust placed in him.
“I am determined to continually improve the quality of my performances,” Neff said, adding that he is pleased with the positive developments this year.
He aspires for local artistes to gain recognition alongside international talents. Neff also extended his best wishes to His Majesty, thanking him for his leadership, which has led to significant progress in education, the economy, development and religion.
Izzat Ramlee, making his debut at the event, shared his excitement and honour at being selected for such a significant event. “It’s a golden opportunity that many others would cherish. I feel very fortunate and grateful,” Izzat remarked.
He noted that the planned events went smoothly, as practised and organised, and joined in wishing His Majesty a happy birthday, praying for His Majesty’s continued reign and prosperity. – Fadley Faisal
