As this year marks a special occasion with the nation celebrating 40 years of independence, people from all walks of life thronged to the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium to join the grand assembly.
All roads led to the stadium yesterday with heavy traffic recorded as early as 4am with participants in a joyous mood to jointly engage in the historic event.
The participants included the Chinese community in Brunei Darussalam led by Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin. – Azlan Othman
