Pentarama performances organised by the Information Department took place at the parking area across the Royal Regalia Museum in the capital on July 25.
The public also participated in nationhood quizzes and received prizes.
The event was organised in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday celebration.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member, Yang Berhormat Lawi bin Haji Lamat as Village Head of Kampong Subok was the guest of honour. Also present were LegCo member Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan; Acting Deputy Director of Information Department Sastra Sarini bin Haji Julaini; and Acting Chairman of Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Board Haji Amir Azman bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Setia Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Rahman.
The performance began with the Pentarama’s theme song by Al-Buysra team, followed with a drama skit called ‘Bisikan Hijrah’ by Seni Kreatif Insan Seni.
The public was also entertained by a comedy show performed by Najib and Loh from BruHaha as they shared mental health issues and initiatives carried out by the Ministry of Health (MoH) through Hope Line 145.
Another Pentarama show will take place tonight at Pentas Perayaan Gerai Tudong Saji, Kuala Belait. – Rokiah Mahmud
