The Information Department, through the State Unit, Strategic Communications Section, Publications and Strategic Communications Division, in collaboration with the Tutong District Information Branch recently held a Pentarama performance in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration.
The event, held at a stage in front of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital, was attended by Legislative Council (LegCo) member Chong Chin Yee as guest of honour.
Also present was LegCo member Yang Berhormat Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya’akub, who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Ukong, Zone 1.
The event featured singing performances from Ahmadshah, Yaniey Junaini, Krunn Muhamad, Dayat Ahim and Rasyqah Sofian, a drama titled Scammer by Pento XYZ group, a comedy show titled Pasang Surut Kehidupan by the Rajiki Group before concluding with a singing performance by local artistes singing Dirgahayu.
Pentarama performance will continue tomorrow at the Tudung Saji in the Belait District. – Azlan Othman
