Six pencak silat athletes and two coaches left the Sultanate yesterday on a road trip to Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia to compete in the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA XXI) 2024.
The team is part of the Brunei Contingent competing in SUKMA XXI.Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin offered inspiring words and advice to the team at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
Acting Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Hajah Noor Maslina binti Haji Sulaiman and officers from the department were also in attendance.
The pencak silat competition will begin tomorrow at Bandaraya Stadium in Miri, Sarawak. – James Kon
