A total of 22 crew members of the Belait PSV-1 vessel and 14 local residents gathered to hold a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 40th National Day celebration on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by Captain Andry Ryanshah.
The ceremony, held offshore while operating in the AMDP-22 AMPA Field at sea, was filled with Sunat Hajat prayers as well as Maghrib and Isyak prayers led by Engineer Muis Sarif Malim.
Captain Andry, originally from a neighbouring country and having served Brunei for over 15 years, expressed that the Sultanate is a safe and prosperous nation with its people hospitable and courteous.
The crew of the Belait PSV-1 vessel expressed gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for His Majesty’s wise leadership.
They also prayed for Allah the Almighty to grant His Majesty long life and to continue leading Brunei Darussalam towards becoming a ‘Baldatun Tayyibatun Wa Rabbun Ghaffur’ nation based on the Malay Islamic Monarchy. – Adib Noor
