Patriotism briefing for 50 students

The Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, through the Tutong District Information Branch, held a national briefing programme ‘Our Ruler, Appreciate the Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ for students of Ma’had Islam Brunei in the Tutong District on Wednesday.

A total of 50 Year 7 students attended the briefing, which is one of the ongoing initiatives of the department in promoting love for the monarch, religion, race and country.

The briefing was delivered by Information Department officer Isa bin Haji Abdul Rahman, who said that the national flag should be hoisted and raised in a perfect and clean condition, not torn and faded.

The history of the national anthem was also highlighted.

The briefing ended with the presentation of prizes to the winners of the national quiz, conducted by the agency.

Also present at the event were deputy principal Hajah Amalina binti Haji Ali and the teaching staff of the school. – Azlan Othman
