Panaga Primary School emerged victorious at the football festival held on November 14 at Lumut Primary School’s football field in Belait District.
Organised by Lumut Primary School, the event provided primary students with the chance to develop their sporting skills, particularly in football, while fostering camaraderie and promoting friendly sportsmanship at a young age.
Participating schools included Lumut Primary School, Panaga Primary School, and Muhammad Alam Primary School.
The guest of honour, Co-Curriculum Department Officer Harmoney bin Late, attended the event and was welcomed by the school’s principal, Hajah Mizawati binti Haji Marusin.
At the conclusion of the competition, the guest of honour presented trophies and prizes to the winning teams. Panaga Primary School secured first place, followed by SR Lumut in second and SR Muhammad Alam in third.
The football festival is part of a broader inter-school friendly competition series, with Lumut Primary School set to host a netball festival on Saturday, November 16. – DANIEL LIM
