The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports yesterday received BND26,798.90 in donation from various companies and associations on behalf of the National Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 during a ceremony at the ministry.
On hand to receive the donations was Acting Director of Community Development Department Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
Rabitah Antarabangsa Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam handed over BND11,000 while Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) contributed BND4,000 collected from its members as well as students of PGGMB School.
Meanwhile, Dynamic Café donated BND2,801, which were the proceeds from its main menu between November 24 and December 3 last year, and JHK Studio presented BND2,100.50, collected from a recent fundraising cycling event and a donation box at its premises.
Persatuan Masyarakat Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam (PERMAI) contributed BND5,400 collected from its members, while Arno Zoey Wonderland handed over BND1,497.40 that came from visiting children’s allowances. – James Kon
