The Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Affiliated members handed over a BND4,180 contribution to the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) yesterday.
Pengiran Datin Hajah Salwana binti Pengiran Haji Ibrahim representing the group, presented the donation to Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad.
Acting Director of Community Development Department (JAPEM) Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh and officials were also present.
The collection for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 has been extended until April 18. Those intending to hold a donation collection for the fund can apply for permission from the JAPEM as the secretariat of the national committee for the fund, if 100 per cent of the net collection is donated towards the fund.
Individuals, associations and registered agencies intending to donate partially from the net proceeds from holding activities in the form of public entertainment are recommended to apply permission in advance from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The public can also make online donations through Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) with account number 00-001-01-0089051 (Tabung Kemanusiaan Rakyat Palestin di Gaza 2023) or through BIBD QuickPay. The public can also contribute to the donation boxes or via the secretariat of the humanitarian fund at JAPEM, located at the second floor of MCYS. – James Kon
