Over BND5K raised for the Palestinians

Some BND5,407 were collected in a charity event yesterday organised by Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) to support to the National Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023.

The event, themed ‘Empathy in Action, Unite for Gaza’, was held at AITI’s compound in Kampong Anggerek Desa. More than 50 vendors joined the event, including Abang Shish, Ashiqah Kitchen and Sisters in Deen. Activities such as go kart, bouncers and car wash were also available for visitors.

“We’re here representing Sisters in Deen and Ashiqah Kitchen to sell items such food, key chains, stickers and many other assortments to raise fund for a good cause!” said Dahlia.

The event aimed to contribute to the relief efforts in Gaza and to cultivate empathy towards others, particularly those who are less fortunate.

In addition, donation boxes were placed at various points within the premises for visitors to contribute donations to the humanitarian fund. – Adib Noor
