Some BND469,767 has been collected from the SMS Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund for the 7th Brunei Darussalam Mosque Fund.
The money was collected throughout the course of the SMS campaign from March 14, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman in his capacity as the Chairman of the Fund Collection and Withdrawal Committee for Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund received the donations during a handover ceremony at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday.
Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni handed over a mock cheque amounting to BND418,169, while Progresif Sdn Bhd Head of Public Relations and Communications Hafiza binti Mohamad handed a donation amounting to BND46,598.00.
The minister also received BND5,000 from imagine Sdn Bhd presented by its Acting CEO, Haji Radziman bin Haji Rahman. The minister also received a separate BND10,000 donation from DST handed over by CEO Radin Sufri. The donation was collected from DST officers and staff.
As of January, Brunei Darussalam National Mosque Construction Fund as a whole has successfully collected BND21,201,432.05 through various mechanisms including direct salary deduction from government officers and employees, direct submission to the Secretariat or through bank standing orders and others.
