Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah has extended financial assistance amounting to BND139,300 along with essential food items, traditional cakes, and beverages to 150 families across Brunei. The contribution, aimed at elderly citizens and those in need, was distributed through the Ihsan Programme in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
The foundation also provided medical equipment for elderly patients as part of its ongoing efforts to support the welfare of vulnerable communities. The initiative aligns with the foundation’s strategic objectives of addressing basic needs and enhancing social welfare.
The distribution took place in all four districts, with the participation of key government officials leading the handover.
In the Brunei-Muara District Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, in his capacity as a Board Member of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah led the entourage. He was accompanied by Acting Managing Director of the foundation Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak.
In the Belait District, Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh handed the assistance.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin led the Tutong District drive.

The campaign in Temburong District was led by Attorney General Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib.
The initiative is part of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s commitment to easing financial burdens during Ramadhan, allowing recipients to observe the fasting month with greater ease and celebrate the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri with joy. – Fadley Faisal
