A strong turnout of 2,810 children aged between five and 11 were administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, bumping up the vaccination rate for this age bracket to 29,210 or 68.1 per cent. Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar on Thursday announced this at the daily press conference, where he was accompanied by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin.
