Over 400 Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Bolkiah Campus (SBC) students and instructors participated in campus’ sports day at the 3rd Battalion, Lumut Camp yesterday.
IBTE Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Mohd Zamri bin Haji Sabli was the guest of honour and was welcomed by head of co-curricular activities (CCA) Muhammad Afif bin Abu Bakar.
Muhammad Afif explained how the sports day represents one of the annual occasions that students and instructors look forward to. “I believe that participants will take this opportunity to challenge themselves in overcoming the hurdles as they compete.”
The event saw participants march onto the field according to their teams. Each entrance was accompanied by a cheer and performance.
The guest of honour launched the sports day which saw events including track running, long jump and relay races for both male and female students and instructors of the campus.
Dr Haji Mohd Zamri also presented medals to the winners.
The event will continue tomorrow with more sporting events.
